I love that journalism continually requires me walk up to strangers, people I'd otherwise never have a reason to know, and start a conversation. It requires me to check my ego at the door, to look around with fresh eyes and to listen.
Iām currently the engagement editor for Project Homeless at The Seattle Times. My job requires me to wear many hats, sometimes simultaneously, to pursue community engagement endeavors and engagement reporting.
Prior to moving to the Pacific Northwest, I worked as a feature writer for the Charleston Gazette-Mail and, then, as a freelancer in Appalachia.
